Kids Movies That Don't Suck

There was once a time when kids’ movies were guaranteed to bore parents. With the exception of a few classics, children’s cinema was where saccharine plotlines and juvenile tropes learned to crawl. Luckily, Hollywood has grown up since then, and for every purple dinosaur there’s a Pixar production, or pop-cultured ogre waiting to inspire both current and former kids.

Toy Story

Toy Story was Pixar’s first feature brain-child, and marked the beginning of a new era in kids’ film. A bright, realistic animation that is as attractive to the intellect as it is to the eyes, Toy Story was Pixar’s premier of the production ethic it calls “simplexity”. (credit: Walt Disney Pixar)

Toy Story
Sal
Saw it when it came out in theatres when I was 7 with my family.
Also saw this with a friend when it came out in 3-D in the fall! So much fun to watch, even though we were the only childless adults in the theatre.
