When Actors Go Ugly

Hollywood is disproportionately full of beautiful people—actors, models, rock stars and wannabes, all vying for the camera’s best angle. Fortunately for the average looking among us, real life is mostly filled with our kind—Average Joes and Plain Janes. Even better, we sometimes get to see luminous Hollywood celebs humbled by playing regular looking (and even ugly) characters. Here are some of our favourite examples:

Tom Cruise – Tropic Thunder (2008)

Watching Tom Cruise dance with J-Lo in his Tropic Thunder getup: bald, potbellied and lascivious, was one of the creepiest moments at this year’s MTV Awards. But it was a hit—both at the awards and online, where it became a viral sensation. Cruise will reprise his Les Grossman character in 2012. With the working name “Untitled Les Grossman Project”, the film is a collaboration between Cruise and Tropic Thunder colleague Ben Stiller. (credit: CP Images)

They made him look even more untrustworthy/greasy(full chest hair&thick arm hair, nice touch!) with that shot!

I took me a while to recognize him and that in my book counts as a successful transformation. I'm not a Tom Cruise fan, but this role made me laughed.

...the hands are also faux...to look like he has big giant manly meat hooks (Sorry to turn you on even more Donna....) I wonder what his little hands underneath are like?

Anyway, I find this transformation successful and disturbing...Tommy pulls it off.

Why is everybody looking at Tom Cruise with hatred lately ? He is a fine actor and nice looking. He is also clean not like other actors.
