Dark, grim, disturbingly unforgettable but.....

A diehard Daniel Day-Lewis fan, i watched this movie with my sis on DVD. She fell asleep around the middle of it. I watched till the gruesome end and, although I thought it was very well done with great performances from the leading actors, the movie was too long and often boring.
Furthermore, I have never heard anyone's opinion on the movie because noone I know has seen this movie!!
