          Golden Globe Awards Predictions

Hosted by Ricky Gervais, this year’s Golden Globe ceremony will be held on Jan 17.  Unlike the Academy Awards, the Golden Globes are nearly impossible to predict.  The winners are decided on by the Hollywood Foreign Press - an elite and highly secretive group which often exhibits bewildering, difficult-to-account-for taste (past winners include David Caruso and Paul Hogan of “Crocodile Dundee” fame).  Here’s a look at the likely front-runners, although for some categories pulling random names out of a hat would probably be just as accurate.

Check back here for live coverage of the event, starting at 7pm EST.

          Golden Globes- Hurt Locker?? boooo
          humprite
This movie is nominated for awards??? Crazy!! It was truly one of the worst movies I have ever seen. It had absolutely NO plot what so ever. There was no build up of the characters. The movie just went on and on with no story. If this movie gets any awards, it should be for WORST movie of the year!

Saw the movie and even though it wasn't quite what I expected, I enjoyed it. A lot of animation but well done, with a great story.

It doesn't surprise me that Humprite would have missed the plot in Avatar as they were unable to read the blurb at the top of this page indicating that the GG ceremony will be held on the 17th of January, and are nearly impossible to predict.
Humprites poor review of the movie is the only bad one I've seen or even heard about. I watched it and couldn't wait to see it again.

by the way Hurt Locker is VERY factual and realistic, its not supposed to be a fictional story like Avatar where the whole thing is made up by a bunch of people, its like Full Battle Rattle its a non-fiction movie

If you really think about the messag Avatar has it is real not the worlds or even the people but the story itself was very true.

Humprite's comment is crap. This movie is probably one of the best I've ever seen in 3D. Yeah alot of it is computer generated and it follows the cowboys vs indians theme again, but it was interesting to see the development of the characters. The plot may be predictable but in all this is definitely a must see for this year.
