            What Could Have Been

It may be hard to believe, but a number of Hollywood’s most iconic roles were originally offered to actors who passed, opening up the door for other actors to step in. inMovies looks at famous roles that were passed on, and the people who made the regretful decision to work on other projects.

In Movies - What Could Have Been
            Dianne, ON
Jodie Foster as Princess Leia? I think not. Carrie Fisher seemed to be made for the part and brought it to life on the big screen. And Harrison Ford IS Han Solo, just as he IS Indiana Jones. Anyone else but Tom Hanks in the role of Forrest Gump just wouldn't cut it. That is not to say that the other actors who were considered for role are not GOOD actors, they are, but Bruce Willis IS John MacLain and just doesn't strike me in the Sam Wheat role which surely was meant for Patrick Swayze. Good actors MAKE the role.
To prove my point, there are certain characters that no other actor can emulate and no matter how hard they try, producers/directors/writers just cannot remake TV shows/old movies that are classics into today's medium. IE: Starksy&Hutch / Bewitched / The Beverly Hillibillies to name but a few.
It would make for interesting viewing indeed if we could "see" those actors who turned down the above mentioned movie roles actually in those same roles. I doubt very much whether the end result would be the same!

I can't see ii either, but then again if Jodie was cast for the part we would probably think no one else would have been able to be in that roll besides her.

            JAIL BAIT!
            YODA
Jodie Foster was jail bait back then and the Princess would have had zero sex appeal! I would much rather bang a 30 year old Carrie Fisher than a 10 year old Jodie Foster! lol

How very SAD that juveniles are allowed to comment here and reduce everything to matters of sex. Star-power is NOT about "banging" except to the very young and/or the very immature. Of course, being the internet, anything and everything usually is said...because of anonymity. Too bad.
