Though it's accurate, calling James Cameron's success phenomenal seems somehow to undersell it. Setting aside the fact that the Kapuskasing, ON native helmed the highest grossing film of all time (the game-changing 3D epic Avatar), Cameron stands virtually unchallenged in Hollywood as innovator, multi-tasker, risk-taker and high-roller. Whether serving as director, screenwriter, producer, DOP, special effects guru or some combination of all five, Cameron owns his pictures like nobody else.
