Many people's first glimpse of Newmarket, Ontario-born comedian Jim Carrey was on the small screen in the 1990s where he busted out as a rubber-faced character actor on the Wayans Brothers sketch comedy series In Living Color. Funny as Carrey was - and man, he was FUNNY - few could have predicted his future as a mega-successful Hollywood movie star. While Carrey predictably started out making comedies, his film choices have become increasingly more complex and even (gasp) dramatic as his career has progressed.
