With a film career spanning five decades (!), New Brunswick native Donald Sutherland ranks as one of the most celebrated, durable and versatile actors ever. Any attempt to comprehensively chronicle his filmography is bound to fall short - you'd need an encyclopedia to capture the minutiae of Sutherland's CV. But there have been some notable highs, both dramas and comedies - National Lampoon's Animal House, anyone? Whether in a supporting role (think of that brief but crucial scene in JFK) or as a leading man (Klute, Six Degrees of Separation), Sutherland leaves an indelible print. Frankly, the world is a better place because of it.
