For the first four seasons of the show, Trailer Park Boys was filmed in various private trailer parks in the Halifax-Dartmouth area of Nova Scotia.  Starting from the fifth season, filming took place in a trailer park set that was built near Cole Harbour.

Rob Wells (Ricky) is the real life owner of Mr. Lahey’s trademark car, and Mike Clattenberg (the show’s creator) owns the car that Ricky sleeps in.

Julian, Ricky and Bubbles appeared alongside Don Cherry in the music video for The Tragically Hip’s song “The Darkest One.”  They have also toured with Our Lady Peace and Guns N’ Roses.

At $1.3 million, Trailer Park Boys: The Movie holds the record for the largest opening weekend for an English-language Canadian film.

In Trailer Park Boys: The Movie, the f-word is used 163 times.

Bubbles was initially a recurring character, but due to his popularity became one of the stars starting in the second season.

In the episode "Closer to the Heart" the concert scenes of Bubbles with Rush were filmed in Toronto’s Air Canada Centre instead of the Halifax Metro Centre.

Trailer Park Boys has been aired in numerous countries, including Australia, the UK, Spain, Ireland, the United States, Iceland, New Zealand, Israel, the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, Denmark, Finland and Bulgaria.

Academy Award nominated actress Ellen Page (Juno) appeared as Jim Lahey’s daughter Treena during season 2.
